Blank clinical chart and World War II materials

Scope and Contents The collection includes a packet of 50 blank clinical charts designed for hospital and private practice, 1913, by James C. Wilson, M.D., physician and member of the faculty at Jefferson Medical College. Also in the collection but unrelated to these materials are two newspaper clippings related to the arrival of Jefferson staff in Cairo, Egypt, in Oct. 1942 to set up the 38th General Hospital, where Dr. Garver served as a dentist, and an Arabic-language edition of Reader's Digest, [1937?].

Correspondence with C. Brinley Bland

Weed, Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association, and Dr. Bland while he was serving in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in the India-Burma theater. Scope and Contents Copies of letters written by Mrs. Melrose E. Weed, Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association, to Dr. Hume, then a Major in the U.S. Army attached to the 38th General Hospital during World War II, and Dr. Hume's responses, some of which accompanied snapshot photographs he sent to Mrs. Weed for The Clinic, the JMC yearbook. Two letters were sent by Dr. Hume as "V-Mail."
